Classic Pulled Pork Nachos with Cheese Sauce

About this recipe

Ingredients

1 pack Tortilla chips (I used Tostitos)
500 g Kasim, cut into 2 inch cubes
2 tsp Chili powder
1 pc White onion, medium, chopped
1 can Alaska Classic Evaporated Filled Milk 360mL Buy now
1 cup Water
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup Tomato ketchup

Pico de Gallo

7-8 pc Tomatoes, medium (local), seeded and diced
1/2 pc Red onion, chopped
1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped
Juice from 1 lime
1/4 tsp Salt

Cheese Sauce

2 cups Cheddar cheese, grated
1/8 tsp Cornstarch
1 1/2 cups Alaska Classic Evaporated Filled Milk 360mL Buy now

Procedure

Tick the circle to once you're done with the procedure.

in a large, heavy pot, combine pork, chili powder, chopped onion, alaska classic evaporated filled milk, water, worcestershire sauce, and ketchup.
stir and place over medium-low heat until mixture begins to simmer.
braise for 2-3 hours under low heat.
remove pork from liquid and shred while warm.
return shredded pork to the pot and stir to coat evenly with sauce.
Remove from heat and set aside.
To make the cheese sauce, place cheese and cornstarch in a nonstick saucepan.
toss to combine.
Add the Alaska Classic Evaporated Filled Milk and cook over medium low heat.
stir continuously until cheese is completely melted.
Set sauce aside and keep covered.
to make pico de gallo, combine chopped tomatoes, onion and cilantro, lime juice, in a medium sized bowl and toss.
season with salt once ready to serve.
line a large plate with tortilla chips and top with pulled pork, cheese sauce, and pico de gallo.
