According to the American Cancer Society, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and throughout the year, people wear pink ribbons to honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and to support the progress we are making together to defeat breast cancer. As we partake in the celebration, we created a list of pink food you can prepare to celebrate it.
Creamy Strawberry Ice Box Cake
Ice box cakes are desserts that have been layered with whipped cream and sandwiched between graham crackers. For this recipe you will only need 6 ingredients and it would look like it was bought from a café. While they set in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight, the ingredients will slowly merge into a moist, creamy cake texture.
Cathedral window is a Filipino gelatin dessert which is named after the cathedral windows because of how it resembles it when sliced. To make this as a pink cathedral, add some pink food coloring to the milk gelatin mixture before adding the colorful gelatin cubes.
Classic Red Velvet Churros with Cream Cheese Dip
Churros are easy to make at home with just a few ingredients mainly eggs, flour, butter and milk. Our version of churros has a little more ingredients to give the classic a twist. To make pink churros instead of red, follow the same recipe but using only 1 tbsp of red coloring instead. To make it pink on pink, you may add some pink/red coloring on the cream cheese dip too!
Creamy Baked Salmon recipe is an easy, healthy seafood dish made in just minutes away! Salmon cooks very quickly since it is high in fat so make sure to not overbake it to avoid that dry texture. The creamy sauce on top will complement the succulent baked salmon making each bite perfect and nakanamnam.
